DOGTAG K9 DOG AND HANDLER RECEIVE SPECIAL AWARD
Canine Cambry and her handler Mr. Servando Narag received a special award as the best performer in Explosive Detection among the 55 students of Basic Canine Course Class 02-2009. This course was conducted by Civil Security Group from 17 December 2008-11 March 2009 at Camp Crame in Quezon City. It required 256 training hours focusing on dogs and dog handling. Given by CSG-SAGSD, this training aimed at putting an end to the situation in which dogs and canine handlers lack the competence to be deployed for guarding duties in vital private establishments.
Servando Narag graduated along with five other handlers from Dogtag K9. Dogtag will send another batch of canine and dog handlers to the next Basic Canine Course Class 03-2009. Though Dogtag K9 handlers have undergone intensive in-house training in Dogtag K9 School at Pilillia, Rizal, Dogtag is still committed to honing the skills of their canines and dog handlers through training and through mentoring and on-site coaching.
